CNC Router Services (Calgary)

Digital fabrication lets us make parts that are accurate, repeatable, and easy to assemble. Our shop runs professional cnc router machines, dialed with the right feeds, speeds, and router bits to minimize tear-out and sanding. Whether you need one panel or a short production run, we treat each part like it matters—because it does.

Materials & Operations

• Materials: Baltic birch plywood, MDF/HDF, melamine, veneered panels, and solid hardwoods (walnut, maple, oak, cherry, birch, ash). We also cut HDPE and acrylic (PMMA) with toolpaths tuned for clean edges.
• Operations: Profiling, pocketing, drilling, countersinks, chamfers, engraving/lettering, rabbet/dado joinery, and precise template creation for routing and trimming.
• Outcomes: Smooth edges, square assemblies, and accurate cuts that reduce downstream rework.

FAQ: Capabilities Beyond Routing

People often ask about cnc milling and cnc turning. Those are typically metal-focused processes (with spindles and lathes). We’re primarily a wood-centric shop, but our approach borrows best practices from those worlds: good fixtures, proper toolpaths, and measured verification. If your project requires a metal machine shop, we can advise on how to separate the wood and metal scopes cleanly.

Important note about 3D printing: You’ll see references to 3d printers and 3d printing in general CNC literature. We do not currently offer 3D printing services. If your design requires printed components, we can recommend how to adapt or outsource that portion while we produce the wooden elements.

Our Process

1. Share Your Idea: Send a sketch, mood board, or CAD. We’ll ask a few quick questions to align on goals and constraints.
2. Design & Materials: We propose a path that balances form, function, and budget—species, thickness, joinery, finish, and whether cnc router work is helpful.
3. Quote & Timeline: Transparent pricing with realistic dates—no hand-waving.
4. Production: We program toolpaths, cut, and hand-finish parts. Precision setups, sharp router bits, and careful inspection ensure accurate cuts.
5. Pickup & Install: We stage parts for easy loading and can provide installation guidance for built-ins and furniture.

Have a deadline? Tell us early. We’ll plan the schedule accordingly and communicate proactively if suppliers are involved.

Design Support & Vector Files

Clean drawings save time. If you’re comfortable in CAD, send DXF/DWG (or SVG/AI) with units, thickness, and layers for operations. If you’re not, we can help. Our design team provides vector cleanup, annotation, and nesting so your idea moves to the machine efficiently. This helps whether you’re ordering one part or a small production batch.
